Week Seven: Microblogging

Okay, to be honest, I tried Twitter a while back and didn't get it at all. I couldn't figure out why anyone would just want to constantly update what it was they were doing. I mean who cares if you are "doing dishes" or whatever. But after exploring it a little more, I guess I can kind of understand it. I don't think it is my favorite "online community", but it is a simple way to just keep people updated. Even on Facebook, updating my status isn't something I do very often, that is why I think that Twitter really isn't for me. I started following some of our mentors and participants from 23 Things Kansas, I think I will like seeing some of what they have to say, they may have some useful tools I could use at work. I am not sure what all I could use Twitter for, besides maybe letting people know what I personally am doing at the library, or resources I have found that have helped me in my duties at work. Hopefully as I interact and use Twitter a little more, maybe I will see some of the advantages to it, but for now, I am not sure I like it lol!
