Week Eight: Cloud Computing

Alright, this cloud computing this is still a little confusing to me. I mean the videos I watched explained it pretty good, but at the same time, I don't get how the activity I did had anything to do with that, lol. Oh well, if it was cloud computing then...cool!
I decided to make an account on 30Boxes and invite a couple of people who I work with, as well as another participant who I didn't know, to view my calendar and add special events of their own. Being a mom to 2 littles ones, it sometimes becomes hard to remember all the different things that are coming up in my life. I may only work part-time, but since I do only work part-time, me and my husband do alot of arrangeing in our schedules to ensure that our kids are not put in daycare. Therefore, I spend alot of time comparing schedules with my husband and my mom to see who will have my kids on what days. For this reason, I figured 30Boxes would be a good site for me to keep track of everything, and also be able to share other special activities or events that are coming up in my life. Also, to keep track of birthdays, I am terrible at that.
I think it will really become social as well, when the other people I invited to be my buddies decide to start adding their own events, because it will sort of become like Twitter or Facebook, an easy way to keep people updated with what is going on in your everyday life.
I may not totally get this cloud computing thing, but I am really glad I decided to try 30Boxes, it's great to find out about sites that you don't already know about. Especially, when it's something that can become very useful to you.
